Magnetic business cards are printed in the standard size, which is 90mm x 55mm. This is the same size as a standard business card.

Magnetic business cards are printed in full colour, but are printed on the front only. The back is always black.

The front of the magnetic business card is a strong paper that is celloglzed to promote a long shelf-life, and the celloglazed paper is placed onto a 3mm flexible magnet.

How to prepare a business card file for a commercial printing company.

 

Text, images and artwork

Magnetic business cards can have whatever you want on them. You can have text or photos (perhaps a photograph of you) or logos or whatever it is that you want.

If you are going to place some artwok on your magnetic business card, then make sure that you DO NOT get your artwork off the Internet. Images and artwork that is sourced from the Internet will most likely have a resolution of only 72 dots per inch, and this is 'too low' for printing purposes. All artwork for your magnetic business card MUST have a resolution of at least 300 dots per inch.

Images that are below 300dpi will appear pixilated or blurred when they are printed on magnetic business cards (or printed on paper for that matter too).

 

Quantities

You will notice that magnetic business cards are offered in set quantities. The smallest order you can make is for 250 business card magnets. The next size is 500, and then they quantities increase in amounts of 1,000.

The reason why there are set quantities is quite simple:

  • AllPrinting prints business card magnets on huge A2 sheets (about the size of eight standard A4 business letters);
  • We 'gang' lots and lots of different jobs together on the one print-run. Specifically:
    • We print all the orders for 250 business card magnets on one print run;
    • We print all the orders for 500 magnetic business cards on another print-run; and
    • We print all the orders for 1,000 magnetic business cards on yet another print run.
  • Therefore, your job will take up only a small fraction of the space on any one print-run.

This 'ganging' of the print jobs means that the cost of the plates used for printing (and there are four different plates used on each print-run) is spread between all the jobs on that print-run, and this keeps our costs (and our prices) down.

 

What the price includes

AllPrinting prices include GST and delivery to your door.

We do NOT add freight to the prices after you have placed your order. Freight is included in the price that we give to you.

We do NOT add GST at a later time. The price you see on the screen will include GST.
