How to set up a business card file for a commercial printing company

If your order is for for several digitally printed business cards, please make sure your business card file has the front of business card one as page 1, the back of business card one as page 2, the front of business card two as page 3, the back of business card two as page 4, and so on.
Alternately, have one file for each design. You can then upload up to ten different files on the one order.

AllPrinting accepts files on many different software programs. Our preference is for:

  • PDF files. If you do not know how to create a PDF, then don't worry — we accept many types of software, and the PDF is just a preference.
  • Text that is outlined (or converted to curves) — we might not have the font that you used, or we might not be licensed to use it. If the text is outlined, then this solves ALL font issues.
  • Crop marks — crop marks are great, but please do NOT give us all the printers' marks. We do NOT want colour bars or registration marks and the like. Just the crop marks will do.
  • Bleeds — if you are going to have any background colour or image print right to the very edge of your digitally printed business card, then we need to have bleeds. If you don't know what this bleeds is all about, then try having a visit to our bleeds page.
