Carbonless docket book sizes

Carbonless (NCR) docket books are available in three sizes, in two types, with two different cover options, and in either the landscape or portrait format.

The carbonless docket books have a tear-out pages that are the following sizes:

  • A4 — 297mm x 210mm — this is the same size as a standard business letter.
  • A5 — 210mm x 148mm — this is ½ the size of a standard business letter.
  • A6 — 148mm x 105mm — this is ¼ the size of a standard business letter.

The types of carbonless docket books are:

  • Duplicate — each book has 100 original pages, and 100 duplicate pages.
  • Triplicate — each book has 50 original pages, 50 duplicate pages, and 50 triplicate pages.

Two types are cover are available:

  • Soft cover, taped along the spine, with a wrap-around backing sheet.
  • Hard 'crocodile cover, taped along the spine, with an independent backing sheet.

The book can be bound on the short edge (this is the more economical option) or on the long edge.

 

Carbonless docket book tear-out page sizes

A4 carbonless docket books have tear-out pages that are A4-sized. So, the actual A4 docket book is about 12mm bigger.

A5 carbonless docket books have tear-out pages that are A5-sized. So, the actual A4 docket book is about 12mm bigger.

A6 carbonless docket books have tear-out pages that are A6-sized. So, the actual A4 docket book is about 12mm bigger.

 

Colours — black and white carbonless docket books

We only print in black and white (and every shade of grey in between). AllPrinting does NOT print carbonless docket books in colour.
HOWEVER, as mentioned above, we do print in Greyscale.

If you have an image or logo that needs to be reproduced on your carbonless docket book, and your image or logo is in full colour, we can (at no charge) change the logo or image into greyscale.

Greyscale is black and white, and every shade of grey in between. So your image or logo will still be bright and clear, but it will be in shades of grey — it will NOT be colour.

Take a look at the above-right image. It is a logo, and it is in full colour, with each droplet being a different colour.

 

 

Now take a look at the below-right image. It is the same logo, but the colours have been converted to greyscale (i.e.: converted to black & white, and to many shades of grey). If you look hard enough, you might even see the small shadow to the right of each droplet.

What this shows is that we can reproduce your images and logo in fine detail, even though your carbonless docket book will not be in full colour.

 

 

Carbonless docket book numbering

You can each page of the docket book numbered with four numbers (i.e.: 0001, 0002, 0003, etc; or, 0101, 0102 0103, etc).
You CANNOT select a letter.

The first ordering page is the place where you advise us of;

  • Whether you want numbering (see below left); and
  • The the number at which we should start (see below right)

Choose whether or not you want each page of
your carbonless docket book numbered.
If you do want each page of
your carbonless docket book numbered, then
don't forget to tell us at what number we must start.
You can have up to for numbers
(e.g.: 0001, or 5001, or 8001, or 9001)

 

Carbonless docket book page perforations


You can choose how many pages you want perforated — the pages that you want to tear out.
 

You can have the last page remain in the book, or
you can have all the pages perforated so all the pages are easily removed.

 

Page colours

The default options for the colour paper are:

  • Duplicate books:
    • Original page — white; and
    • Duplicate page — yellow.
  • Triplicate books:
    • Original page — white;
    • Duplicate page — yellow; and
    • Triplicate page — blue.

However, you are free to choose the colour paper that you for each page from the colours available on our list.

 

Carbonless docket book paper stocks

The carbonless paper (NCR paper) is a 60gsm stock. It is light, and an image of the writing that is placed upon theb original page will appear on the copies with only moderate pressure.

 

Number of designs

You can have up to ten (10) different designs with the one order. However, each design must be ordered in equal numbers.

  • If you are ordering three different docket books, then select "3".
  • And so on and so on (up to a maximum of ten different docket books).
