Paper stocks used on digitally printed appointment cards

Our digitally printed appointment cards are available in one stock that has two finishes:

The Satin and Gloss refers to a coating that is placed upon the paper before any printing is placed upon the paper. So, if you place only a small piece of text upon your appointment card, then:

  • The Gloss appointment card will appear shiny; and
  • The Satin appointment card will have a dull matt finish.

 However, if you have background colours across the entire digitally printed appointment card, then:

  • The Gloss appointment card will NOT be glossy, but the colours will appear to be a bit richer and a bit fuller; and
  • The Satin appointment card will NOT be dull or matted, but the colours will appear to be a bit softer and a bit more mellow.

Therefore, if you want an appointment card that has a high-gloss finish, then you will be better off examining our cheap (but still high quality) offset printed appointment cards.

Creating a press-ready appointment card file for a printing company

If your file is correctly set up from the beginning, then your job is more likely to proceed through the printing process easily and quickly.

The first thing that you MUST know is that finished appointment cards measure 54mm x 89mm.
The first thing that you MUST know is that, if your appointment card is going to have any background colours or images that will go right to the very edge of the card, then you MUST have 3mm bleeds.
Always keep those measurements in mind, and you will go a long way to making sure that your appointment card printing job will proceed in a timely manner.

Multiple-designs for digitally printed appointment cards

You can order several different digitally printed appointment cards with each order (up to 10 different designs). However, all designs must be ordered in equal numbers.
So, you can order 250 of each of ten designs (for a total order of 2,500 digitally printed appointment cards), but you cannot order 100 of each of five designs and 500 of a sixth design (for a total order of 1,000 digitally printed appointment cards). 

On the above-right is an image of the first ordering page. The customer is ordering one specific appointment card, and wants 250 copies of that one specific design.

The total number of appointment cards being ordered is, therefore, 250.

On the below-right is another image of the first ordering page. This customer is ordering TWO different appointment cards, and wants 250 copies of each design.

The total number of appointment cards being ordered is, therefore, 500.

 

 

How can digitally printed appointment cards be both fast and high quality?

Digital presses have moved on quite a bit in the last ten or so years. In fact, digital presses are as good as, and often beter than, the offset presses that they are replacing. So, the quality is great.

As regards the speed, digital presses do NOT use the big plates that offset presses use (and that take so long to create). Therefore, if a customer wants 100 appointment cards, the file is simply sent to the digital press and the printing job is then started and printed.
